Virginia Marvel Warren born August 27, 1943 in Garden City, Kansas to Roy and Beverly (Biggs) Richardson. Virginia grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated high school there in 1961.

Virginia married Alvin Warren in September 1972 after they met while living in San Jose, California. They proceeded to raise Virginia's four children by a previous marriage in Independence. Virginia was a stay at home mom during her children's younger years. She was a Boy Scout den mother and women's league bowler. Virginia worked at Kmart for many years before going to college. She...

Virginia Marvel Warren born August 27, 1943 in Garden City, Kansas to Roy and Beverly (Biggs) Richardson. Virginia grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated high school there in 1961.

Virginia married Alvin Warren in September 1972 after they met while living in San Jose, California. They proceeded to raise Virginia's four children by a previous marriage in Independence. Virginia was a stay at home mom during her children's younger years. She was a Boy Scout den mother and women's league bowler. Virginia worked at Kmart for many years before going to college. She graduated from Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma Sums Gum Laude at the age of 50 with a degree in elementary education. Virginia then moved to the Terlton, Oklahoma area and taught third grade several years. In the 90s Virginia and Al moved to Fort Gibson Lake where they made their home for 20 years. Virginia substituted in the Wagoner area for a few years before getting a job at St. Joseph Catholic School in Muskogee, Oklahoma where she taught 2nd grade for 5 years. Upon retirement Virginia and Al traveled with family and would winter in Texas. Upon selling their home on Lake Fort Gibson, Virginia and Al moved to Olathe, Kansas to be closer to family.

Survivors include Alvin, spouse. Sons: William and Pam Edington, Roy and Alice Edington of Olathe; Clifford and Misty of Colorado Springs, CO. Daughter: Tammy Bright of Topeka, KS. Sister: Kimberly Rowell of Olathe. Brother-in-law: Lee Warren of Bucannon, W. Virginia. Virginia had 15 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, one grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services of celebration will be held at Living Hope Church at 18550 W 175th St., Olathe, Kansas on Thursday, June 22nd at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place and at a later date Virginia's ashes will be scattered at a small lake in Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
