Jerry L. Reid, 68, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Jerry was born on November 14, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Marvin G. and Geraldine H. (Huggins) Reid. He attended and graduated from Olathe High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He accomplished his certification in Heating and Cooling and worked in HVAC and general construction. Jerry was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Jerry L. Reid, 68, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Jerry was born on November 14, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Marvin G. and Geraldine H. (Huggins) Reid. He attended and graduated from Olathe High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He accomplished his certification in Heating and Cooling and worked in HVAC and general construction. Jerry was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Geraldine Reid. Survivors include his children; son, Jesse Reid and his wife Kati of Dearborn, Missouri and daughter, Angela Ferguson and her husband Jesse of Evans Georgia. Left behind to cherish his memory are his four grandsons; Jason Reid, Parker Reid, Trevor Ferguson and Brandon Ferguson.
Jerry is also survived by his sister Kay Fuller and her husband Lyndel of Springhill, Kansas. He will be sadly missed by his two nieces; Sherry Hall and her husband Mike, Vicki McTavish and her husband Greg and nephew James Higgins and his wife Pamela of Springhill, Kansas, along with seven great nieces and nephews.

Jerry will be cremated according to his wishes. A memorial service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Visitation Wednesday, 1-hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
